Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic
One of my favorite things I love about LA is that there are so many events constantly going on. I had first heard about the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic when a friend had liked a post on facebook. The power of social media folks. Curious, I looked more into it, and discovered what a cool event it appeared to be. I had never been to a polo match before, so I figured why not go! I heard tickets go quick so I decided to jump on it and buy my ticket. Fast forward 2 months later and it was finally time for my first polo match.
I had looked at previous Veuve Clicquot Polo matches on instagram (my go to when deciding attire for somewhere i’ve never been) to see what attire to wear. I decided on this new black dress my mom had bought for me from forever 21 (Thanks mom!) and wedges. Note: you’re on grass 90% of the time, don’t wear stilettos. Wedges or flats is definitely the way to go.
Can you believe I had never had champagne before?! Seriously crazy. Veuve Clicquot was sponsoring the event so I obviously had to try a glass and taste what I was missing. And oh boy was I missing out. I absolutely loved their rose version.
They had cute yard games set up while you wait for the polo match to start

What I did not bring is a blanket, and a picnic. Definitely bring a blanket to sit on, my booty was hurting after a while of sitting on dirt and hay. Everyone brought cute little picnic baskets along with snacks like cheese, fruit, nuts and anything to snack on while sippin on Veuve Clicquot.
During half time (Is that what it’s called in Polo?) everyone goes onto the field and stomps on the divets to keep the grass and field looking perfect along with enough time for a few pictures. Such a fun tradition!
I had such a blast at the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic. I absolutely can not wait to go back next year! Certainly the perfect event to attend for my first polo match!
