Thailand Day 2: Grand Palace and Wat Pho

Day 2 of our trip was filled with a bunch of “touristy” destinations!  Our hostel (NapPark) was really close to the Grand Palace so we decided to walk on over.  That day it was quite hot, but we were so excited to be there it didn’t matter too much!  On the way over we stopped at the good old 7-eleven.  In Thailand there seemed to be millions of 7-elevens everywhere which was nice so we could easily grab water.  For breakfast, I got this green custard filled bun and a iced latte.  Honestly, not sure exactly what was in the bun, but it tasted great!  Thailand Day 2: Grand Palace & Wat Pho The temples require that your knees and shoulders be covered, with no shoes.  I ended up buying these pants on Kho san road for maybe $3 since I didn’t feel like lugging jeans in my backpack.

Even now, the detail in these buildings still blows my mind! Anyway, after that we hopped in an uber and headed to MBK to do a bit of shopping.  Somehow in 7 floors of mall I managed to not find anything I wanted, go figure!  Later that night we headed to Kho San Road for dinner and drinks with some friends from our hostel.   Find out in my vlog below what crazy critter I ended up eating that night!
