Hemp hearts

I love putting toppings on nearly everything.  Whether it be yogurt, cereal, cottage cheese or salads.  Recently I got the opportunity to try hemp hearts, hemp seeds.  Naturally I put it on everything I ate! They are super easy to use, just sprinkle them from the bag and re seal the bag for next time!

Hemp Hearts

Hemp seeds have amazing nutritional value as well! Packing a great 10g of protein and 10grams of omegas per 30 gram serving.  Hemp seed are also lover in carbs than chia and flax seeds which I had been previously topping everything with.  These Hemp hearts are vegan and are also non- GMO. Yay!

Hemp hearts

Hemp seedI topped my cottage cheese with Hemp seeds, peanut butter, and peanut butter puffins.  This is the best combination I have ever experienced.  Everything works so well together!

IMG_7505I normally top my salads with chia and flax seeds, but tried hemp seeds, which gives it more of a nutty/pine nut flavor to it. What a difference! On this salad I also had feta and crushed up triscuits, because every salad needs a salty crunch!

Now for the great news! Manitoba Harvest is letting one of you lucky readers to win a 56g bag! The giveaway is open to people living in the United States and Canada.

I think I would love to mix them with Yogurt. I also love the idea of cottage cheese and a salad 🙂
