Farewell NYC

Well, it happened. I left New York City today. Sad departure for sure, but i’m excited to be home and ready to finish up my master’s program and start my career. This internship got me so excited for what the future holds and I am now 110% sure this is where i’m supposed to be headed. I enjoyed it so much, and worked with a group of truly great ladies. I was pretty sad to leave, but all good things must come to an end. I am so grateful that this opportunity came my way.

While I was in NYC I stayed at the NYU dorms. It’s pretty darn difficult (impossible) to find short term housing during the summer in NYC. Luckily NYU rents their extra dorm rooms to students interning in NY for the Summer. Thank goodness! Needless to say, it was everything I remember and LOVE(sarcasm) about dorm rooms. I had a single, which was really great, since most people my age don’t enjoy waking up at 5am and going to bed at 10pm. Ha! But, it was about the size of a closet. Hey at least there was a bed, and actually had a semi kitchen. However, I can do without the screaming people that awaken me at 4am every weekend when they come home from the bars. Anyway, trying to pack everything up in the tiny room was a quite the challenge, but I managed.

Anyway, I will have tons of pictures, and post about NYC coming within the next month. Trust me, I have hundreds of pictures to sort through. NYC was super photogenic.

When you pack do you have an organized system or do you just throw everything in a suitcase and you’re ready to go?
