Exploring Los Angeles With My Parents

If you kept an eye on my Instagram stories you knew I was out and about exploring all parts of Los Angeles last week! My parents were in town for about a week visiting during Easter.  I had so much fun and am so lucky to have such great parents like them!  They had visited LA before back when the Bills made the super bowl, but there’s so much more to LA now so I was able to show them all around my favorite parts!    Here are just a few of the places we explored, and Wednesday I will share with you all the delicious places we ate, because oh my were they good! First up, we explored Santa Monica and the pier.  I was so excited they were here I forgot to take pictures.  But watcha gonna do, I took pictures of what I could remember.

Early Friday we went exploring Hollywood and the Hollywood sign. After that we finished the day with a Dodgers game!  We don’t have a major league baseball team in Buffalo so it’s fun to watch a new sport and have a new team to cheer for.  I can’t wait to go to more games this season!Exploring Los Angeles with my Parents- Venice, Dodgers, Santa Monica, Universal Studios, Hollywood, Culver City, Malibu

Replaced my Red Sox shirt with a Dodgers shirt.  Sorry Boston, LA has me for now.

Easter was a pretty nontraditional as we headed to Universal!  It was a blast and we later went out to dinner for some delicious Italian food.Exploring Los Angeles with my Parents- Venice, Dodgers, Santa Monica, Universal Studios, Hollywood, Culver City, Malibu

My favorite part of course was Harry Potter World! We had all been to Universal in Orlando and Harry Potter World there is almost exactly the same as here.  It was still extremely cool, especially since I love the books and movies so much! It always amazes me how much detail they put into Harry Potter World.  All the workers there were in character, and even the sounds of Moaning Myrtle in the bathrooms! Exploring Los Angeles with my Parents- Venice, Dodgers, Santa Monica, Universal Studios, Hollywood, Culver City, Malibu

Apparently I hold my wand as oddly as I hold a pen. What a dream though! They have a pre show to get into Olivander’s Wand shop which is awesome.  I ended up getting chosen as part of the show to get my wand selected for me.  Not gonna lie, I was totally freaking out inside.  I didn’t end up getting the wand (oh boy are they expensive) but it was an incredible experience!

We explored every part of LA! Including gorgeous Malibu. I took them to one of my favorite restaurants, Malibu Farm and we explored a bit after brunch. Exploring Los Angeles with my Parents- Venice, Dodgers, Santa Monica, Universal Studios, Hollywood, Culver City, Malibu

That is all the pictures I have being out and about.  However, I have a lot of food pictures I will be sharing on Wednesday and on my Instagram over the next little bit!

What fun things did you do this weekend?

Have a great day!
