Coconut Water Margarita

I had never really had margaritas up until I moved to Los Angeles.  But I have discovered my true love for them as soon as I got here.  They’re so refreshing and light and a bit tropically perfect for these hot summer days.  However, margaritas often have a lot of added sugar in them making them not ideal when you want to have a drink and still watch what you’re consuming.

Ingredients:

  • 1 Shot Silver Tequila
  • 1/2 Cup Coconut water
  • 1 Tablespoon Lime Juice
  • Ice
  • Salt for glass

Directions:

  1. Mix together tequila, coconut water and lime juice.
  2. Rim glass with salt.
  3. Pour margarita over ice in glass.

 

Between the coconut water and the lack of added sugar, it makes it extra refreshing for a hot summer day. It’s almost too east to drink these because they quench your thirst too.
