China Part 2- Xi’an

The next part of our journey through China was to Xi’an.  A beautiful “older” city, especially compared to Shanghai, they are complete opposites.  That doesn’t mean I enjoyed it any less however.

We were only in Xi’an for 2 days so sorry for the lack of pictures.

We started off traveling from Beijing to the airport on the Mag lev train that went a speedy 430 km/h. A trip that would have taken us 1 hr only took 7 little minutes.  How awesome is this!

The bell tower in Xi’an city center. This was the first “typical” Chinese architecture we saw.

Next on the agenda, the Terracotta Warriors.  This was honestly such an amazing sight to see! With all Chinese art, the attention to detail with these warriors was breathtaking.

 The winter palace.
How nice would that be to have a winter palace?! Again, look at the detail of the paintings!

 The Big goose pagoda.

A lot of Chinese women kept asking for their pictures with us.  I almost felt like a celebrity! They were all super nice about it though. ! little 6 year old girl even asked for a picture with me. Too cute!
We then finished our time in Xi’an with a lovely  Chinese dance! Very cool and dances were beautiful!

Next, and last stop, Beijing!
