5 Tips for Healthier Hair

There are so many little changes to your hair care routine that you can change up in order to have more healthy beautiful hair.

  1. Don’t wash your hair everyday!– I have known about this for as long as I can remember, yet people constantly stare at me like I have three heads when I tell them it’s really bad for your hair to do so.  Unless your hair produces an extreme amount of oils it’s not necessary.  Washing it everyday will strip your hair of essential oils that you want in your hair to keep it hydrated and healthy.
  2. Blow dry your hair upside down– I have been doing this just because I thought it helped my hair dry faster, I later found out blow drying your hair upside down  helps create volume.  My hair is thicker than most peoples so I don’t necessarily need the volume, but it’s very helpful information to know!
  3. Never straighten or curl wet hair- Wet hair and hot products just do not mix unless you truly enjoying potentially burning off your hair, then in that case go for it!
  4. Apply leave in Conditioner before getting tangles out of hair– This will help so much and will cause a lot less hair breakage and all this flyaways that everyone hates.
  5. Put conditioner on the ends of your hair– Keep the conditioner away from your roots to keep a greasy look away.
